Role Description
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking a Storeperson for a permanent aviation role in Bankstown, Sydney.
This role is suited to an organised and detail-focused warehouse or logistics professional looking to build a career within the aviation industry. Aviation experience is not required, with the position supporting the day-to-day stores and logistics activities associated with aircraft maintenance operations.
You will:
- Run day-to-day stores and logistics activities supporting aircraft maintenance
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records
- Dispatch unserviceable aircraft components for repair
- Manage commercial supplies and coordinate stock movements
- Coordinate freight and tooling movements to support aircraft schedules
- Ship tooling between operational bases as required
- Inspect and return unused parts following maintenance events
- Support accurate documentation and stock control processes
- Work closely with the wider aviation operation to ensure stores and logistics requirements are met

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience:Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment is ideally required. Candidates should have strong organisational skills, sound decision-making ability and excellent attention to detail.
Work Rights:Must have Australian work rights. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Security / Site Access:Must be able to obtain an ASIC and provide the applicable police clearances, including from the candidate's country of citizenship.
Driver Licence:Current manual driver's licence is ideally required.
Core Skills:Strong organisation, decision-making and attention to detail, accurate stock record-keeping, and the ability to coordinate stock, freight and tooling movements.
Additional Requirements:Ability to work in a structured aviation environment and maintain accurate records and documentation.
Desirable Requirements - Current forklift licence
- Understanding of aircraft line or ramp operations
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and overhaul documentation
- Understanding of maintenance planning processes
- Previous aviation stores or logistics experience
