Role Description Sigma Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Manager MRO to lead the delivery of its MCY Base and Line Maintenance operation in Maroochydore.
This is a senior maintenance leadership role responsible for safe, compliant and profitable maintenance performance in line with CASA/EASA Part 145 obligations, Sigma standards and client requirements.
The role leads the MCY maintenance operation and EASA component maintenance workshop through effective planning, resourcing, cost control, quality assurance and operational readiness. The Maintenance Manager will develop the leadership team and drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity and financial KPIs.
This is a Responsible Manager role and will include Responsible Manager coverage for Line Maintenance during periods of absence.

Essential Requirements LAME: Current LAME status is mandatory
Aircraft Background: Turboprop background required
Maintenance Leadership: Significant Base and/or Line Maintenance leadership experience
Regulatory Capability: Strong regulatory and compliance background
Operational Leadership: Ability to lead maintenance delivery, mobilisation, workforce resources, operational performance and production governance
Part 145 Knowledge: Ability to operate within CASA/EASA Part 145 requirements, Sigma MOE requirements and approved data principles
Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage complex stakeholder and customer environments
Site Access: Ability to obtain and maintain an ASIC where required
Training: Ability to complete mandatory training and inductions where required

Desirable Requirements Regional airline type ratings are desirable.
Previous Responsible Manager or post-holder experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
Valid driver’s licence is desirable.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership - Lead MCY maintenance delivery and mobilisation
- Manage Senior Base Engineers, supervisors and support teams
- Ensure effective workforce utilisation
- Manage site KPIs across safety, quality, productivity, delivery, utilisation and cost control
- Ensure consistent leadership coverage and continuity across rosters and shift patterns
Regulatory, Quality and Safety Oversight - Ensure ongoing compliance with CASA/EASA Part 145 obligations and Sigma procedures
- Maintain audit readiness and support closure of findings and actions
- Champion SMS and WHS culture
- Ensure documentation integrity and approved data use across the operation
- Support audits and regulatory engagement
Operational Control and Escalation - Establish and maintain effective production governance, including daily meetings, shift handovers and escalation pathways
- Manage constraints and critical path risks across labour, materials, tooling, access and defects
- Work closely with planning and logistics teams to support maintenance delivery
- Drive operational readiness and ongoing delivery performance
Commercial and Stakeholder Management - Manage client/operator relationships and performance reporting
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce rework, improve touch time and optimise delivery
- Support technology-led change and operational efficiencies
- Report operational performance to leadership
Compliance and Governance - Ensure base maintenance delivery complies with CASA Part 145/42 obligations, Sigma MOE and approved data principles
- Oversee SMS, QA and WHS performance
- Ensure fatigue management and WHS controls are implemented and monitored
- Ensure authorisation, training and induction currency is maintained for personnel under site control
- Ensure documentation integrity, tool control and traceability processes are embedded in day-to-day operations

The required LAME licence category has not yet been confirmed. Applicants should clearly outline their licence jurisdiction, licence category, aircraft type ratings and current status when applying.
Previous Responsible Manager or post-holder experience is advantageous, but not mandatory. Suitable maintenance leaders with the regulatory and operational background to step into the Responsible Manager remit may be considered.
