Role Description Sigma Aerospace is seeking a Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to lead the logistics and supply chain function supporting its MRO operations in Maroochydore.
This role is responsible for ensuring parts, tooling, consumables and repairables are available to support the operational maintenance plan. The position is accountable for procurement, inventory integrity, traceability, vendor performance, repairables, logistics and expediting outcomes that help protect aircraft touch time and delivery milestones.
This is a critical support function within a CASA Part 145 base and line maintenance environment, with exposure to EASA Part 145 component services. The role works closely with MRO leadership, engineering, stores, Quality and Safety, HR, Finance and client/operator stakeholders.

Essential Requirements Logistics Capability: Relevant logistics or supply chain capability appropriate to managing the function
Part 145 Knowledge: Understanding of Part 145 requirements
Inventory and Traceability: Ability to operate effectively in a traceability and documentation-focused environment
Organisation: Strong organisational capability and high attention to detail
Communication: Clear communication and coordination skills
Site Access: Ability to obtain and maintain an ASIC where required for site access
Licence: Valid driver’s licence
Training: Ability to complete mandatory training and inductions where required

Desirable Requirements Aviation logistics or supply chain experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
Experience with aviation/MRO inventory, traceability, repairables, certification, tooling/GSE, supplier management and maintenance operational support is highly relevant.
Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Management - Oversee procurement, inventory and logistics
- Ensure material availability aligns with production plans
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships
- Manage repairables, quarantine, returns and warranty processes in line with quality requirements
- Ensure certification, shelf-life, batch/serial traceability and receiving controls are maintained
- Maintain tooling control processes and availability planning where applicable
Regulatory, Quality and Safety Oversight - Ensure ongoing compliance with CASA/EASA Part 145 obligations and Sigma procedures
- Maintain audit readiness and support closure of findings and actions
- Champion SMS and WHS culture
- Ensure documentation integrity and approved data use across the operation
Compliance and Quality - Ensure traceability and documentation compliance
- Support audits and regulatory requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and record-keeping requirements
- Comply with Sigma policies, procedures and quality standards
Operational Support - Coordinate tooling and spares
- Support logistics and expediting outcomes
- Identify efficiencies and cost improvements
- Help ensure tooling and GSE are compliant and available to meet production needs
Commercial and Stakeholder Management - Manage client/operator relationships where required
- Support tender responses, pricing, scope management and change control where applicable
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce rework, improve touch time and optimise delivery
- Support technology-led change and operational efficiencies
People and Capability - Lead and develop the team
- Support recruitment and retention strategies
- Ensure fatigue management and workforce wellbeing are actively managed
- Promote Sigma values and a high-performance, safety-first culture
- Support succession planning and workforce resilience

Important Note Aviation logistics or supply chain experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates from outside aviation may be considered where they can demonstrate the logistics/supply chain capability required for the role and an understanding of Part 145 requirements.
