Role Description
Sigma Aerospace is seeking a GM MRO (Accountable Manager) to lead the overall delivery of its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul operations across the Aero Engines Division, Maroochydore Base Maintenance facility and Line Maintenance ports.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for safe, compliant and profitable MRO performance in line with CASA and EASA Part 145 obligations, Sigma standards and client requirements.
The role provides regulatory and operational leadership across on-wing and off-wing maintenance operations, with responsibility for planning, resourcing, cost control, quality assurance, operational readiness and performance against safety, quality, delivery and financial KPIs.
The GM MRO will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, planning, logistics, supply chain, quality, safety and maintenance operations. The position also assumes COO duties and responsibilities during COO absences.

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience: Significant aviation maintenance leadership experience is mandatory
Operational Leadership: Strong capability leading aviation maintenance operations, workforce planning, mobilisation, performance and change
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Part 145 requirements, quality systems, approved data principles and audit readiness
Commercial Capability: Commercial acumen with the ability to balance delivery, client requirements, productivity and cost control
Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including client/operator relationships and performance reporting
Leadership Capability: Proven ability to lead teams through ramp-up, change, recruitment, retention and workforce resilience
Compliance: Ability to support full compliance with CASA and Sigma regulatory, quality and safety frameworks
ASIC: Ability to obtain and maintain an ASIC where required for site access
Licence: Valid driver’s licence

Desirable Requirements
Previous experience as a Responsible and/or Accountable CASA Form 4 and/or EASA Form 2 post holder is desirable, but not mandatory.
A LAME licence with type ratings is preferred, but not mandatory.
Relevant qualifications in aviation engineering or maintenance management are preferred.
