Role Description
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking two B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to support ATR 42 and ATR 72 operations in Papua New Guinea.
This ongoing full-time touring role is suited to licensed engineers with ATR 42 series and ATR 72 series ratings who are confident working in a turboprop maintenance environment. The roster is 28 days on / 28 days off.
You will:
- Carry out licensed maintenance and certification activities on ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft
- Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a turboprop operating environment
- Assist with heavy maintenance inspections, rectification and defect troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and certification records
- Work safely within a regulated aircraft maintenance environment

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience:
Licensed aircraft maintenance experience in a turboprop maintenance environment. ATR 42 and ATR 72 maintenance experience required.
Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
ICAO licence with ATR 42 series and ATR 72 series ratings, or EASA type-rated licence on ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft.
Work Rights:
Must have the required work rights, travel documentation and licensing eligibility to work in Papua New Guinea.
Location / Availability:
Must be available for a touring role in Papua New Guinea on a 28 days on / 28 days off roster.
Additional Requirements:
Current passport and ability to meet mobilisation, site access and operator compliance requirements. Current driver’s licence preferred.
Skills:
Strong ATR turboprop maintenance knowledge, sound fault-finding ability, accurate documentation habits, and confidence working to approved maintenance procedures.
Attitude:
Safety-first, reliable, practical, adaptable and able to work effectively in a touring maintenance environment.
