Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in (Cairns, QLD). If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assembling parts and sub-assemblies of aircraft structure;
- Conducting routine servicing of aircraft, including component replacements and fluid servicing;
- Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines and propellors, aircraft mechanical systems and structure;
- Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations.
- Replacement of mechanical components, including hydraulic actuators, engines and components, landing gear and flight controls;
- Executing post-repair functional tests
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation.
The essential requirements - CASA Part 66 License or Cert IV Aeroskills Mechanical
- Current ASIC card or be eligible to hold Australian ASIC;
- General Aviation experience on PT6 turbine aircraft is desirable,
- Experience on the following types would be highly regarded - Bell Series Helicopters 212/412 & 206/407, Airbus, Eurocopter and Leonardo 139.
- Experience with Part 145 highly regarded
- Capacity to refer to and interpret specifications/standards and written technical instructions
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Successful applicants must have a commitment to safety and employment is conditional upon satisfying aviation security and screening procedures. Must hold a current Australian drivers license. Relocation package available for exceptional candidates.
