Suncoast Aero Engines, a proud division of the Sigma Aerospace Group, is seeking a skilled and motivated Engine Technician to join our growing team on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Specialising in Lycoming and Continental piston engines, we deliver high-quality maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to aviation clients across Australia.

What You'll Do
As an integral part of our engine maintenance team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform inspection, testing, disassembly, repair, assembly, and modification of aircraft components in accordance with OEM and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with Sigma Group procedures and CASA Part 145 regulations.
• Ensure tooling, equipment, and workstations are maintained in a clean, serviceable, and compliant condition.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on failed components and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to support efficient workflow and timely turnarounds.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of component technical data, airworthiness directives, and applicable maintenance bulletins.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance technical capability and process efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Component or Mechanical/Electrical disciplines) – essential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in component maintenance or MRO environment.
• Strong understanding of aviation component systems, tooling, and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with CASA Part 145 and EASA/FAA regulatory frameworks – desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia and be able to obtain required clearances if applicable.
