Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Licensed  Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Mechanical to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

Your role

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs on client aircraft to ensure compliance with regulations and technical publications, maintaining aircraft readiness and operational availability.
• Accurately document all maintenance tasks, ensuring work sheets, logs, tracking systems, and other required records are completed and submitted promptly.
• Work collaboratively with managers, engineers, pilots, and emergency service teams to optimize aircraft availability and performance.
• Support base operations by preparing tasks, maintaining stores, and performing ground support equipment maintenance essential for ongoing operations.
• Maintain accountability for tool control and ensure the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of hangars, workshops, related workspaces, and vehicles.
• Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to the safety management system and other company policies and procedures.

The essential requirements

• Experience in Heavy Maintenance and worked on the fleet of four Leonardo AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters
• CASA licenced on the AW139
• Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components; 
• Strong team player;
• Ability to follow supervisory direction;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
• Passion for safe work practices;
• Valid work visa;
• Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
• Current Australian Driver's licence.

We are specifically looking for candidates capable of committing to flexible working arrangements; further, please ensure that you are available to work in Newcastle, NSW before applying.
