Your impact Lead and manage the dedicated team behind Blue Knot's professional training, supervision, consultancy and knowledge resources. You will keep important work moving while developing a clear picture of the portfolio and recommending priorities for its next phase.
About Blue Knot Blue Knot Foundation is Australia's National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma, supporting people affected by complex trauma and those who support them, personally and professionally through telehealth counselling services, workshops and resources. Blue Knot also helps individuals and organisations to better respond to and support people with experiences of complex trauma through trauma-informed training, supervision, consultancy and practical resources. https://blueknot.org.au/
The opportunity Reporting to the President and Managing Director, you will lead the external facing Training, Practice and Knowledge team during a period of transition. This is a hands-on leadership assignment for someone who can quickly build trust, set clear priorities and support a team delivering specialist training and practice services to people and organisations across Australia.
Alongside maintaining quality and efficient delivery, you will assess how the portfolio is performing, reviewing products, client relationships, commercial positioning and opportunities for more scalable learning. You will bring your observations and practical recommendations to help inform the next phase of the service.
Key priorities include - Lead and support the team, providing clarity around priorities and workloads.
- Working closely with Blue Knot's training, practice and knowledge team, external facilitators and clients.
- Maintain oversight of training programs, supervision and consultancy projects; ensuring sustainable delivery.
- Review the current portfolio, ways of working, drawing on team, client and performance information.
- Identify practical opportunities to strengthen learning products, digital delivery and the client experience alongside financial sustainability.
- Provide clear, considered recommendations that Blue Knot can use to guide future decisions.
About you You are an experienced leader who can enter a specialist trauma organisation with curiosity, sound judgement and respect for the expertise already in place. You bring people together, create clarity when priorities compete, and can balance service quality and purpose with both commercial and delivery discipline.
You will bring:
- Strong experience leading a multidisciplinary team through change or transition.
- The ability to apply a commercial lens to assess a function, engage people thoughtfully and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Experience overseeing training, professional education, consultancy or a comparable service portfolio.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice, or experience in a complex health, human services or community setting, with the judgement to draw on specialist advice.
- Experience working with people and technology to enable the development and delivery of engaging, high-quality learning experiences
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate, liaise and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You do not need to be the person who delivers every service; you do need to know how to lead and support the people who hold that expertise.
Experience with digital learning products or understanding how specialist knowledge reaches a wider audience would be valuable.
