The Role
We’re ramping up for our iconic Christmas Ham Program, and we’re on the lookout for reliable, energetic people to join our team.
This is a physically demanding role involving repetitive manual handling of bulk ham products. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute to one of Australia’s favourite Christmas traditions, we want to hear from you!
Program Requirements:
While we welcome applications from all, the Christmas Ham Program is a physically intense and fast-paced environment involving repetitive manual tasks and heavy lifting. Because your safety is our top priority, all applicants will go through pre-employment checks to ensure they're suited to the physical demands of this specific program.
If this role isn't the right fit, don’t worry - we will still consider you for other opportunities within the factory that are better suited to you!
Your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in meat processing, including tasks such as repetitive lifting, pulling, pushing, holding and carrying up to 8-13 kgs
- Adhere to strict food safety and quality standards throughout the production process
- Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets
- Rotate tasks to ensure variety in daily duties
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
About You To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following abilities and personal attributes:
- A strong commitment to safe work practices at all times
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other team members
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while completing repetitive tasks
- Be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable lifting weights of up to 10 kg frequently
- Able to work in chilled temperature rooms
- A hardworking attitude and the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A genuine commitment to full-time working hours for the duration of the program
No previous factory experience is needed - full paid training is provided on the job!
