Exciting Opportunity for a Career Medical Officer in Mental Health
Rx Recruitment is seeking an experienced Career Medical Officer (CMO) to join a well-established private mental health provider based in Mount Eliza, VIC. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated medical professional to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.

This role is suited to a medical practitioner with a strong interest in mental health and general medical care, providing direct inpatient management and support within a structured clinical framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical care for inpatients, supporting the psychiatric and general medical needs of patients.
• Work closely with consultant psychiatrists and allied health teams to ensure an integrated approach to treatment.
• Oversee patient clinical evaluations, investigations, referrals, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records, including daily progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families about treatment options.
• Attend and actively contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, risk management, and workplace safety policies.

What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (or equivalent).
• Experience in clinical management and evidence-based medical practice.
• Strong clinical knowledge in general medical and mental health care.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organisational abilities.
• Current Police Check (issued within the last 12 months).
• Up-to-date immunisation records.
