The opportunity:
The Visitor Services Officer - Vehicle Compliance plays a crucial role in ensuring resort entry compliance is maintained whilst providing excellent customer service and accurate information regarding entry requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for issuing reminders, warnings and infringements to vehicles in line with the Road Safety Act 1986 and the Alpine Resorts (Management) Regulations 2020 and keeping our roads and car-parks safe and accessible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring resort entry compliance is maintained by checking vehicle compliance in the resort whilst providing excellent customer service.
- Providing accurate information about resort entry requirements and general resort information in a friendly manner.
- Coordinate desktop and in-field warning infringement processes
- Check vehicles stopped in the resort for valid resort entry permits and issue reminders in line with ARV policy and procedures
- Support broader Visitor Services operations as directed, which may include outdoor operations, toboggan slope support, chain fitting bays, resort entry checkpoints and office administration
Key Selection Criteria: - Demonstrated experience in customer service, tourism, hospitality, or a related visitor‑facing role (minimum two years).
- Demonstrated experience providing friendly, accurate information to visitors regarding resort entry permits, parking requirements and general resort rules, in line with established procedures.
- Experience working outdoors in variable and sometimes adverse weather conditions, including prolonged standing or walking (alpine or similar environments preferred).
- Strong understanding of policies, procedures and instructions when identifying non‑compliance and determining appropriate responses, including issuing reminders, warnings or infringements, under
guidance. - Demonstrated clear, polite verbal communication skills and completed written records accurately using standard templates and systems.
- Can work cooperatively with Visitor Services and Resort Operations team members to support smooth day‑to‑day resort operations

Salary: $38.13 p/h including casual loading

The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights.

- Available to work weekends and school holidays
- Available from June 2026 to 30 September 2026 (or the declared snow season)
