One day you're showing someone their first-ever robotic mower on a quarter-acre in Tauranga. The next, you're out on a lifestyle block toward Waihi proving it can handle ground that's beaten every ride -on they've owned. Some customers have never seen one in action; others have already done their homework and just need help pulling the trigger. No two days are the same - and there's not a lot better than watching someone realise they'll never spend another Saturday morning mowing the lawn. 

We're looking for another Robot Solutions Specialist based in or around Tauranga (Waihi also work) - another face of Robomate in the Bay of Plenty - running on-site demos of our robotic mowers, vacuum cleaners and pool cleaners, and helping people find exactly what fits their life.

Our Role 
Tauranga and the wider Northern Bay of Plenty are areas we're actively growing right now, adding to our local sales capacity so customers here get the same fast, trusted, in-person service that's made us the market leader everywhere else we operate. Day to day, you'll: 

• Most of your leads will come through from our Marketing and Sales Support teams, so you're never starting cold - but there's also plenty of room to get creative and generate your own, in a way that works best for you. 
• Travel to customers' homes and properties across Tauranga and out through the wider Bay of Plenty, including up to Waihi, to run demonstrations and recommend the right robotic solution for their situation. 
• Handle the sales admin that comes with it and work closely with our Sales Support team who help keep your pipeline moving. 

Because you'll be recognisable in the Robomate van and uniform, don't be surprised if people flag you down on the street to ask what we could do for them - being a trusted, familiar face in the community is part of the fun. 

Success here is about more than a sales number. It's about delighted customers, glowing reviews, and being a Specialist who other people in the team enjoy working alongside. 

About you 
You're a genuine people person who'd rather listen than talk - you adapt to each customer, understand what they're actually looking to achieve, and help them get there without ever feeling "sold to". Getting it right for the customer matters more to you than getting the sale. 

You'll be a strong fit if you bring: 

• A genuine curiosity about how things work - you don't need to be the most technical person in the room, but you're willing to properly learn the products and keep your knowledge current as our range evolves. 
• Some sales or customer-facing experience, where listening mattered more than a hard pitch. 
• A genuine drive to help people, with the patience to make sure they're truly confident before they buy. 
• Adaptability - every property and customer is different, and you meet each one where they're at, whether that's diving into technical detail or keeping things simple, lifestyle-focused, and in plain English. 
• Strong organisation and follow-through - comfortable with the admin side of sales, not just the customer-facing side. 
• A collaborative team player, confident meeting people face-to-face, with a full NZ driver's licence and NZ work rights. 

It'll also help if you understand the real differences between a working farm, a lifestyle block, and everyday rural living - and what each one actually needs day to day. This is a permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend day across the year (think events, not routine).
