About the role
This is a key leadership role reporting to the CEO and leading a team of Customer Success Managers. It is focused on ensuring customers derive maximum value from their investment, driving product adoption, and encouraging long-term partnerships that support growth and retention.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and executing the Customer Success strategy aligned with company objectives, with a strong focus on customer retention, value realisation, and expansion
- Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing Customer Success team
- Driving customer retention and lifetime value through proactive engagement and strong relationship management
- Leading strategy and execution around customer expansion opportunities, including upselling, cross-selling and new module adoption
- Defining and tracking key customer performance and value metrics
- Championing a customer-first culture and acting as the voice of the customer across the organisation
- Collaborating closely with Sales, Finance, Product and Executive teams to align
What you’ll bring You will have proven leadership experience in a Customer Success role within a B2B SaaS or tech environment. A strong track record of retention, customer growth and team development. You will have a deep understanding of SaaS metrics and how customer success drives business performance.
Strong leadership presence and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels is a must. You will have a customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to think strategically and dive in tactically. Experience working with or understanding of the public sector (local and central government) in NZ is highly desirable.
