Job Title: Systems Implementation Specialist

Reports To: Manager, Team Development & Optimization
 
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (37.5 per week)
 
Work Location: Welland, Ontario, Canada - Requirement to travel to other McDougall Insurance Group locations as necessary.

The Opportunity 
The Systems Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization and ongoing development of the organization's business platforms and technology solutions. This role will proactively identify opportunities to maximize existing technology, improve integrations and develop automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual work and enhance the employee and client experience.
 
Primary Responsibilities
Platform Optimization & Development

• Support the configuration and optimization of key platforms including Applied Epic, Zoho, RingCentral, ARS and other business systems.
• Proactively identify underutilized platform functionality and opportunities to maximize existing technology investments.
• Evaluate new platform capabilities and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
• Support system enhancements through testing, deployment and post-implementation review.

Technical Solutions & Integration

• Translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to integrate systems and eliminate duplicate data entry or manual processes.
• Work with vendors and technology partners to explore technical capabilities, integrations and system enhancements.
• Support testing, troubleshooting and documentation of system changes.

Automation, RPA & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to use RPA, bots, AI and other technologies to reduce repetitive or manual work.
• Develop, test and maintain RPA and automation solutions.
• Evaluate whether opportunities are best addressed through existing platform functionality, integration, RPA or other technology.
• Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve operations and scalability.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Support the delivery of technology initiatives and enhancements.
• Work closely with the Automation & Workflow Specialist and business stakeholders to understand workflow needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, IT, vendors and other stakeholders on technology initiatives.
• Maintain a pipeline of technology opportunities and provide recommendations based on value, feasibility and scalability.

 
Required Skills and Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in business systems, technology, software implementation, automation, integrations or a related field.
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning and working with software platforms and technology.
• Experience with automation, RPA, integrations and/or APIs is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and learn unfamiliar systems.
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with an ability to identify opportunities and work independently.
• Experience with Applied Epic, Zoho, or similar business platforms is an asset.
• Insurance industry experience is an asset; willingness to obtain a RIBO license
