The Role Working closely with a broad range of business clients, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance obligations
- Managing trust accounts and trust tax compliance requirements
- Assisting with cashflow management, budgeting and business reporting
- Supporting business advisory, taxation and client accounting engagements
- Building strong client relationships and delivering proactive support
- Working with Xero, MYOB, APS, Class and other cloud-based accounting systems
About You We're looking for an accountant who enjoys working with clients, values collaboration and is motivated to continue developing professionally.
Ideally, you'll have:
- 1+ years' experience within a Chartered Accounting or public practice firm
- CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking your studies
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing trust accounts and trust tax compliance
- Sound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, APS, Class or similar accounting software
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to contribute ideas and improvements
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact for clients and your team
Location This role is based in Canberra and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.
