The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD
Kynuna Station, QLD
Located in North Queensland between Cloncurry and Winton, Kynuna Station is set in an area rich in history at the headwaters of the Diamantina River. Spanning approximately 140,000 hectares, Kynuna is part of NAPCo's station network and offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to large-scale cattle operations in a close-knit station environment.
The Role
The Head Stockman reports directly to, and works collaboratively with, the Station Manager while leading a crew of four station hands to oversee the day-to-day running of the stock camp, set clear expectations and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This position requires a confident, organised leader with a strong work ethic who can plan ahead, make sound decisions and bring a crew together to deliver strong operational outcomes.
