About NAPCo
The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares and home of Five Founders branded beef. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.
 
Coolullah Station, QLD 
NAPCo has owned Coolullah Station since 1992, the property is positioned to the southwest of NAPCo owned Boomarra in Queensland's Gulf Country, along the Leichhardt River on the edge of the rich Mount Isa mineral fields. Coolullah Station is located approx 1 hour north of Cloncurry, or 2 hours east of Mt Isa.

Working in a small and efficient team, you will ensure the efficient and effective operations of the station under the guidance of the Head Stockman or Station Manager.
 
Day to day duties include:

• Mustering cattle using horses and motorbikes
• Other general station duties like maintaining fencing, lick runs etc. as required
• Checking waters, monitoring and maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock
• Handling cattle at arrival, drafting and dispatch
• Performing your job safely and operating equipment in a safe manner
• Be able to work in a team or on your own

Ideally the successful candidate will have/be:

• experience working with cattle (low stress stock handling experience is highly desirable)
• a confident horse rider or motorbike rider, with experience mustering cattle
• able to flex across mustering, fencing and other general station duties as required
• experience working in a team and on your own
• experience complying with Health and Safety policies and procedures
• motivated, show enthusiasm and have a great attitude towards what you do
