The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares and home of Australia's First Carbon Neutral Beef - Five Founders. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.
 
Mantuan Downs Station, QLD
Mantuan Downs Station is located between Springsure and Tambo, and is approx. 2.5 hours south of Emerald, near Carnarvon National Park. Mantuan Downs has approximately 18,000 head of cattle and is a large-scale cattle breeding & backgrounding property covering 134,000ha. Country ranges from large areas of brigalow/wilga/bottle tree scrub to open downs, soft forest hollows and areas of lighter forest and ranges.
 
The role
We are currently seeking a Station Hand to join the growing crew in a permanent full-time position at our Mantuan Downs Station commencing on station as soon as possible. You will join the crew ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the station under the guidance of the Head Stockman, Overseer or Station Manager.
 
Ideally the successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working on a cattle station as a Station Hand
• Have experience working with cattle
• Be a confident horse rider 
• Be able to flex across mustering, fencing, checking waters, lick runs and other general station duties as required by immediate supervisor
• Be able to work in a team or on your own
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures
