Quality Controller

The Role
As Quality Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products leaving the site meet both customer specifications and internal quality standards. You will be hands-on in monitoring processes, conducting inspections, and supporting investigations to uphold food safety and compliance at every stage of production.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, quality control checks, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Accurately document inspection results, factory audits, and any non-conformances, ensuring timely escalation where required.
• Monitor adherence to product specifications, customer requirements, and internal standards.
• Implement and follow the site's sampling and swabbing plans, ensuring testing schedules are met.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to promote best practice in food safety and hygiene.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions relating to quality issues.
• Champion excellent housekeeping and food hygiene standards across the site at all times.

About You

• Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar Quality or Technical role, ideally within the meat, ready meals, seafood or food manufacturing industry.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and address potential issues quickly.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally with production and management teams.
• Highly organised with strong record-keeping skills.
• IT literate, with experience completing digital reports and documentation.
• Flexible and adaptable with working hours as required by business needs.
