Jnr Quality Manager – Fresh Food Sector | Exciting Opportunity to Lead Standards
 
Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Jnr Quality Manager to take ownership of quality control and food safety procedures within a fast-paced fresh food production environment. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Technical Manager, ensuring product integrity, compliance, and high standards are consistently maintained from goods-in through to final dispatch.

• Competitive Salary of €50,000.00
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 8AM-5PM- NO Weekends
• Location: Co. Meath

What You Will Be Doing
This hands-on role is diverse, fast-moving, and integral to day-to-day operations. Your core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Leading the QC and QA team to ensure all quality control procedures and food safety standards are met on a daily basis
• Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all products meet required quality specifications
• Monitoring daily quality standards for incoming raw materials and finished goods
• Maintaining accurate records for traceability across the production process, from intake to delivery
• Investigating non-conformances, performing root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions
• Supporting continuous improvement by auditing hygiene practices (GMP) and site standards
• Gaining practical experience in internal auditing and supporting, then leading, third-party audits under the guidance of the Technical Manager
• Conducting internal audits and helping prepare for external inspections such as BRC and customer audits
• Tracking supplier performance and flagging any issues affecting product consistency
• Advising production teams on product legality, food safety, and hygiene protocols
• Assisting the Technical Manager with technical and compliance-related tasks as required

What You Will Bring
Qualifications and Experience:

• A third-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a closely related subject
• 1-3 years of experience in a quality role in the fresh produce or food manufacturing sector
• Solid working knowledge of HACCP (minimum Level 3) and BRCGS Version 9
• Experience supporting or leading in food safety and customer audits

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Adaptability and willingness to support cross-functional tasks as needed
