Our client is one of Australia's leading not-for-profit Group Training Organisations (GTOs), built on a simple but powerful belief, that great mentorship changes lives. This successful GTO, employs over 1,000 apprentices and trainees across the country in partnership with more than 350 employers.   
  
THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Field Officer, you will be the bridge between apprentices, employers and training organisations, mentoring young people through the highs and lows of their training journey, while building the trusted relationships that keep the program thriving. You will also play an active role in growing the organisation's presence, sharing its story, and ensuring every placement is set up to succeed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Mentor and coach apprentices and trainees through their training supporting performance, wellbeing, workplace expectations and problem-solving every step of the way
• Build and sustain strong relationships with employers, registered training organisations and industry stakeholders
• Help apprentices set meaningful career goals, track their progress and identify skills gaps before they become barriers
• Work closely with employers to ensure training plans are current, relevant and aligned to real workplace needs
• Champion the organisation's work through success stories, media engagement and representation at industry events
• Maintain accurate, timely records of apprentice progress, feedback and assessments

  
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
   

• A genuine passion for people development and the vocational training sector
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting and managing diverse groups
• Exposure to industries such as horticulture, engineering, IT, automotive or construction — highly regarded
• A proven track record of meeting KPIs, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Current Working with Children and Police Checks, or a willingness to obtain them prior to commencement
• A valid driver's licence and the flexibility to travel regionally and interstate as required
