About the Role
Every day you'll help apprentices build the practical skills, knowledge and confidence they'll carry throughout their careers.
You'll be responsible for:
• Delivering engaging practical and classroom-based training
• Assessing student competency and providing constructive feedback
• Supporting apprentices and students throughout their learning journey
• Maintaining strong industry relevance within training programs
• Helping students develop the skills, confidence and professionalism needed for successful careers
You'll be supported by an experienced education team, with teaching resources, mentoring and professional development available to help you transition into the role if you're new to teaching.
About You
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their trade, enjoys sharing their knowledge and wants to help shape the next generation of technicians.
Ideally, you'll have:
• Current industry experience in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
• Certificate III and IV in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
• Full Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Licence
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent), or a willingness to obtain it
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and inspire others
• A genuine passion for developing the future workforce
Previous teaching experience is welcomed but certainly not essential. If you've supervised apprentices, trained junior technicians or enjoy passing on your knowledge, you'll already have many of the skills needed to succeed.
