Our client is really well respected in the industry and has an amazing opportunity for the right person. This is a rare technical role for an experienced automotive professional who enjoys deep problem-solving, autonomy, and hands-on testing, without losing touch with the tools.
You’ll be the technical authority for braking systems, trusted to investigate issues properly, set up your own testing environment, and guide customers, distributors, and internal teams through real-world solutions. Alongside diagnostics and product testing, you’ll help shape training materials and technical guidance that lifts capability across the business.
What you’ll be doing

• Diagnosing and resolving braking system and fitment issues
• Running new product testing and technical investigations
• Setting up and managing your own testing bay and equipment
• Supporting warranty assessments and root cause analysis
• Developing technical bulletins, guides, and training sessions
• Acting as a technical expert for customers, distributors, and internal teams

What you’ll bring

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• 3–5+ years post-trade experience as an automotive technician
• Strong braking systems and diagnostic knowledge
• Ability to work autonomously and explain technical issues clearly
• Aftermarket or technical support experience highly regarded
