This role will be based in Edmonton, Mont-Joli or Lima Perú What's the Role:Reporting to the Global Head of Health and Safety, you will spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Bradken's global HSE strategy, including the compliance program for all Codes of Practice (COP). You will be a key driver in embedding these standards across all our sites within the Americas region managing a team of 5 people distributed in different locations globally.
What You'll Do: - Provide leadership and guidance to the region HSE team, fostering collaboration and building an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with business leaders to improve the HSE governance and assurance framework, maintain risk registers, and track mitigation efforts.
- Lead the development of global HSE training programs, competency assessments, procedures, and assurance activities, working closely with regional HSE teams.
- Drive and monitor COP compliance across all sites, managing global COP action plans.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of all HSE initiatives and programs within your region and develop actions to improve.
- Provide detailed progress reports and feedback to the Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
- Support Site Managers and HSE teams in COP auditing and compliance efforts.
- Ensure continued stakeholder engagement and communication, delivering timely and actionable insights through clear reports and KPIs.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the Bradken HSE Management System.
Key Relationships: - Global Head of Health and Safety (Reporting Manager)
- Regional HSE Teams: Collaborative partners in implementation and training.
- Site Managers and Operations Teams: Key stakeholders for compliance and implementation.
- Executive Leadership Team: Providing regular updates and reporting.
- Corporate Functions (Legal, Finance, etc.): Collaboration on governance and compliance.
What You'll Bring (Essential): - Minimum 5 years of experience in a practical HSE implementation role in manufacturing or high-risk project work (Senior HSE management experience preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing and implementing enterprise training programs and support systems, especially in an international setting.
- Demonstrated capability in change management and the building of effective senior stakeholder relationships across a distributed organization.
Qualifications: - Degree or Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Diploma in Training and Assessment or equivalent (preferred).
- Certification in Project Management (desirable but not mandatory).
