An exciting opportunity exists for a Mixer Operator to join our Atchison Team. The Mixer Operator reports to the Before Cast Manager and is responsible for the daily set up/ramming/finishing molds.
 
SHIFT: 2nd (11am-9pm)
Wages: $22.93-$23.64
 
Purpose Statement:
The Mixer Operator position reports to the Before Cast Manager and is responsible for the daily set up/ramming/finishing molds. This includes Setting Flasks/Patterns, ramming molds with mobile mixer, finishing molds and setting cores as well as doing other production work within the foundry which includes but is not limited to Typical foundry production work by following established processes.
 
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Following production schedule to align with molds being poured
• Following established process instructions
• Setting up patterns and flasks,
• Ramming/finishing/coring/closing molds according to production schedule
• Alert lead of any maintenance needs
• Recommend process improvements
• Maintain daily housekeeping in the work area
• Other duties as assigned

Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required 

Experience:

• 1-2 years preferred process driven work experience or similar environment
• Preferred experience in a foundry or manufacturing work environment

Skills and Knowledge:

• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to work well with others
• Basic math skills
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment
• Able to lift to 55 lb repeatedly
