What’s the Role? Site Manager – Chilca
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Site Manager to lead our team in Chilca. In this role, you will be accountable for meeting the customer promise by manufacturing products or providing services safely, at the agreed quality, time and price. You will build and implement a safe, customer-focused, and metrics-driven manufacturing culture to achieve operational objectives. You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety, Sustainability & Quality: Ensure a proactive and resilient safety culture, manage risks effectively, and ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
- Operations Leadership: Lead site operations to meet manufacturing and quality standards, achieving customer promises on price and time. Monitor production KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and implement corrective actions.
- Budget & Resource Management: Lead budget activities, including capital expenditure review and spending controls. Develop resourcing plans for staffing, equipment, and other needs. Manage and maintain plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Planning & Performance: Develop and deploy functional plans (2-5 year outlook), translate them into operational priorities, and review performance. Deliver the monthly supply plan efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Establish principles for communication, knowledge sharing, and reporting to drive continuous improvement. Build strong partnerships with other business units and manage external relationships effectively.
- People & Culture: Build a purpose-led, high-performing, inclusive culture. Provide clear direction, manage performance, develop talent, and manage employee relations. Foster open communication and embody the "One Bradken" approach.
Our Ideal Candidate meet the following criteria:
Qualifications: - Education: Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering or Business Management or equivalent experience. Six Sigma, Lean or quality management qualifications are preferred.
- Experience: 10 years’ experience in a Senior Production Management role within heavy engineering manufacturing. Experience overseeing multiple production functions, ideally in a unionised environment. Demonstrated experience in people management, change management, project management, and driving safety performance. Understanding of lean manufacturing environments.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of engineering principles, lean manufacturing, and relevant regulations. Proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams, drive a strong safety culture, operate strategically and operationally, negotiate complex problems, manage budgets, and develop employees. Refined business acumen is required. The applicant must have a high level of English and Spanish. Being able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Location: The position will be based at our Chilca Foundry, located at G74J+WH, Chilca 15870
