What’s the Role? Beforecast Foreperson – Chilca Project
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Beforecast Foreperson to join our team in Chilca. In this role, you will lead the operations of the Beforecast workshops, which include the Melt shop, Molding shop, Core shop, and Sand Reclamation, according to standards, procedures, and work instructions. You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with opportunities to contribute significantly to our operational success.  
  
Key Responsibilities

• Safety, Sustainability & Quality:
  • Act as a role model for a safer and healthier work environment, promptly reporting all accidents and incidents.     
  • Actively demonstrate that safety is the number one priority during interactions and communications.     
  • Ensure full implementation of Safety & Sustainability systems (Codes of Practice, Standards, and Procedures) within your team and work area, including work completed by sub-contractors.     
  • Ensure all safety and sustainability communications and alerts are actioned promptly with appropriate controls.     
  • Focus on quality compliance by conducting observations, reporting adverse conditions, and striving for a culture that prevents quality compliance violations.     
  • Actively demonstrate adherence to Safety and 5S principles.     
• Operational Leadership & Execution:
  • Lead the daily operations of the Beforecast workshops (Melt shop, Molding shop, Core shop, Sand Reclamation) according to standards and work instructions.     
  • Coordinate with the Aftercast Foreperson on planning, scheduling, and execution of activities for the respective shift.     
  • Balance resources between various workshops to ensure adequate care, safety, quality, and resource optimization.     
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure planning is optimized and plan/execute activities in line with production targets.     
  • Receive inputs from other departments and supervision, ensuring manufacturing notes are applied.     
  • Check the general condition of all equipment, complete reports, and communicate any defects to surveillance.     
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area, ensuring tools and equipment are clean and in good order.     
  • Ensure compliance with all company and government regulations, particularly in occupational health and safety, environment, and quality.     
• Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration:
  • Work with colleagues and stakeholders for benchmarking and continuously improving the performance of the melt shop.     
  • Commit to quality of execution in work practices/processes and strive to achieve the highest standards.     
  • Read, follow, and guide others with Work Instructions and Procedures.     
  • Participate enthusiastically in training and development, Safety Interactions, and Task Observations.     
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the skill and safety of fellow team members.     
  • Proactively identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement and participate with enthusiasm in Value Stream Analysis and waste reduction initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate meet the following criteria: Qualifications:

• Education: Technical degree.     
• Experience: Five to ten years of relevant experience operating melt shop equipment in foundry environments.     
• Technical Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in Foundry Melting Furnace Operation

Location: The position will be based at our Chilca Foundry, located at G74J+WH, Chilca 15870 (transportation will be provided).
