Overview of the Customer Service Representative/Counter Sales Rep
 
The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role by providing timely support, verifying order information, and maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
 
Duties of the Customer Service Representative/Counter Sales Rep

• Handle incoming customer calls for order placement and sales quotes.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives on customer orders and quotes.
• Assist customers in the showroom with inquiries and order placements.
• Generate new or additional sales through phone outreach and in-person interactions in the showroom.
• Research product solutions to address customer project issues.
• Restock showroom displays and conduct cycle counts as needed.

Required Experience for the Customer Service Representative/Counter Sales Rep

• Some college coursework preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Experience in the building hardware materials industry is beneficial.
• Customer service, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach.
• Proficient in Word and Excel & Outlook
• AS400 experience is a plus.
• Must effectively use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for daily tasks.
