Advanced HR Generalist (HR Manager-Level)
Location: Grand Island / Kearney / Hastings, NE
On-site | Occasional Hybrid Flex | $110K–$150K
Looking for your next big HR challenge - without needing a fancy title to match the impact you’ll make? We’re partnering with a longstanding, community-focused organization in Central Nebraska to hire an Advanced HR Generalist/Manager who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on leadership.
This is not an entry-level HR Generalist role and not an HRBP.

What You’ll Do 40% Employee Relations & People Leadership

• Guide supervisors through evaluations, corrective action, attendance, and performance processes.
• Ensure consistency and fairness across departments.
• Build trust and support employee engagement across all sites.

20% HR Strategy

• Influence department structure, workforce planning, and HR process improvements.
• Partner closely with leadership on long-term organizational needs.

20% Recruiting & Talent Attraction

• Lead full-cycle recruiting across multiple branch locations.
• Bring creative, modern ideas for career fairs, pipelines, and employer branding.

20% HR Operations & HRIS

• General HR tasks and compliance work.
• Support continued optimization of the newly implemented Paycom HRIS.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of solid, well-rounded HR experience
• Someone who can take initiative, make recommendations, and implement change
• Strong employee relations skills and confidence working with leaders
• Experience with recruiting and/or training is a plus
• Willingness to travel within the tri-city area + occasional Omaha visits (1–2 days/month)
• Must live in or relocate to Grand Island / Kearney / Hastings

Banking experience is NOT required.
We want someone who brings new thinking and fresh perspective from outside the industry.
Work Environment

• Primarily on-site due to the hands-on nature of the work
• Occasional hybrid flexibility (approx. 1 day/week when possible)
• Supportive HR team, including onboarding help from the outgoing HR leader
