We are looking for experienced hands-on Senior accountant to join our company.  This position is located in Columbus, NE and will be responsible for all day to day accounting functions including AP/AR, reconciliations, month end close and more.
 
Responsibilities include:

• Closing month end, to include making month end journal entries and reconciling all asset and liability accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis of variances from budget for internal distribution.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and ensure timely collection of customer balances
• Oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring all invoices are properly recorded and paid when due.
• File state and use taxes.
• Review biweekly payroll register for accuracy and integrity.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Experience with accounting in a Manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi task and think critically
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft office.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
