Overview of the Receptionist
  
Seeking an experienced receptionist to join a CPA firm with a history of providing excellent services to their clients.  Our client will provide all necessary job training; however, the role is requiring someone who understands the flow of a busy office setting and who can manage multiple priorities.
   
Start Date of the Receptionist:

• Mid-August or sooner

Duties for the Receptionist:

• Primary responsibility is answering phones and managing incoming/outgoing mail (retrieval, sorting, delivery, packaging, and periodic post office trips)
• Check messages that came in after hours and follow up or distribute messages to appropriate staff members
• Greet incoming visitors, making them feel welcome and provide general assistance
• E-file tax documents and assist clients with electronic signing (no tax questions answered)
• Assist with review and packaging tax forms before client delivery as needed
• Will be trained on other clerical duties to support other business functions
• Arrive about 10-minutes early every day to make coffee, turn on lights, activate phones/open the office

Schedule for the Receptionist:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch with (2) 15-minute breaks)
• Must arrive early to open the office. Turn on all lights, activate phone lines, etc.
• Summer Hours - (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Fridays are 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM; paid for 6 hours (38-hour week).
• Tax Season Hours- (Jan 15 – Apr 15):

• Mandatory Saturdays, initially (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM); Last 5 – 6 Saturdays are full 8-hour days.
• One late day per week (Mon–Thurs), 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Required Skills & Experience for the Receptionist:

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows OS
• Training provided on tax software
• Proven work history as a receptionist managing incoming calls and performing various administrative support duties
• 7 – 10 years’ experience as a receptionist & performing various clerical tasks

• Fully onsite!
• Must consent and be able to pass a criminal background check
• Business casual-professional attire

• $20/hr.+ DOE
