Summary:
The Manufacturing Estimator is responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
2. Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, preparing bids, selecting vendors subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness
3. Consults with customers, vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
4. Understand scope of work to bid
5. Secures pricing for materials, hardware, finishes, and any outside processes
6. Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies
7. Keeps management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
8. Facilitate collaboration with multiple departments including Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Operations
9. Identify cost savings opportunities through print, process or design
10. Build and maintain strong long-lasting client relationships
11. Track, report, and follow up on open estimating projects
12. Good interactions with production team and management
13. All other duties assigned

Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
1 year of manufacturing estimating
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and machining techniques and methods
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
• High aptitude in customer relation, logistics, supply chain, sales, and marketing strategies
• Effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Strong initiative and good decision-making abilities
• Able to read and clearly understand engineering drawings
• Have solid mathematical skills in all units of measure
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and meeting deadlines

  
Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift or move 20 pounds
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
