First National Bank of Omaha is looking to fill a Sr. Developer, Technology position reporting to Omaha, NE (may telecommute from home residence anywhere in the U.S. up to 100% of time).
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and five years’ progressively responsible experience as a software developer or in a related occupation. 

Experience must include the following specific skills and experience:

1. 5 years’ experience with multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python, Ruby, .NET)
2. 5 years’ experience with designing and implementing REST APIs (working knowledge of OpenAPI Spec/Swagger); working knowledge of SOAP APIs
3. 5 years’ experience with the backend microservice architecture using the Java frameworks (e.g. Spring, SpringBoot)
4. 3 years’ experience with Container and container management experience (Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS
5. 3 years’ experience with creating applications dashboard for monitoring and alerts using monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk)
6. Any amount of experience with software design principles as well as UI prototype design
7. Any amount of experience with Git as a version control system, in conjunction with solutions such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab
8. Exhibited ability to write quality unit, functional and automated tests (Junit, Mockito, Postman)
9. Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQLServer) and web servers (e.g. Apache, nginx)
10. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and data integration techniques
11. Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development
12. Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and code reviews

The Sr. Developer, Technology is responsible for working with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions. Design client-side and server-side architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design integration solutions that connect mobile applications with services hosted in the cloud as well as  legacy mainframe systems. Develop and maintain robust APIs and data interfaces to facilitate communication between mainframe systems and modern cloud components. Optimize and enhance existing legacy integration processes for improved performance, reliability, and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues to ensure seamless data flow between different systems. Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design. Test software, both manual and automated, to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Create security and data protection settings. Participate in code reviews and implement best practices for secure coding. Identity and debug complex problems and performance issues. Work closely with Solution and Principle Architecture to ensure strategic solutions are in line with enterprise reference architecture. Design and implement effective APIs following API Led Patterns (Experience, Process, Core/System). Act as a mentor for junior peers through both your technical knowledge and leadership skills. Enhancing systems observability with proper metrics, monitor and alerts. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud resources.

RATE OF PAY: $131,893.00 - $142,460
