Cornerstone Staffing is partnering with a heavy equipment dealer in Des Moines to hire a skilled and motivated Machine Control Install Technician to provide exceptional service support for advanced machine control and GPS solutions. This role involves working closely with internal teams, external customers, and technical specialists to ensure the installation, calibration, operation, and maintenance of machine control systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a recognized expert in providing support for machine control and GPS systems to internal and external customers.
• Install, calibrate, and prepare machine control systems, ensuring operational readiness prior to delivery.
• Diagnose and repair issues with machine control systems in collaboration with service technicians.
• Communicate effectively with technical support teams to resolve issues efficiently from start to finish.

Training:

• Complete required training on relevant machine control systems.
• Develop a deep understanding of various systems and technologies used in machine control.
• Provide training and support to customers and internal staff as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in the construction industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
• Work on and around heavy equipment in diverse environments.
• Visit construction sites and travel overnight when required.
• Perform duties outdoors year-round, including in adverse weather conditions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Familiarity with grade control solutions and related technologies.
• Understanding of construction equipment and its applications on job sites.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; experience reading schematics is a plus.
• Mechanical experience, particularly with heavy equipment, is preferred.
• Welding experience is an advantage.

Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm (occasional overnight travel required)
