Job Title: Personal Injury Paralegal
Location: Downtown Omaha, NE
Salary: $57,000 - $70,000/year (depending on experience)

Position Overview:
A reputable client recently partnered with Cornerstone Staffing Inc. is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys in representing clients injured due to the negligence of others. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to manage cases from intake through settlement or trial.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial client consultations and gather information for personal injury claims.
• Collect and organize evidence, such as medical records, police reports, and witness statements.
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties.
• Track case deadlines and ensure timely filing of necessary paperwork.
• Assist in preparing settlement demand packages and negotiating settlements.
• Provide general administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining case files.
• Assist attorneys during depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Manage post-settlement tasks including lien reduction, bill verification, and settlement distribution.
• Draft initial pleadings and assist with litigation-related tasks such as discovery and trial preparation.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury law preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
• Proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and case management.
