Position Overview: 
  
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant responsible for managing financial statements and accurately recording accounting data in compliance with GAAP. Experience in cost accounting and will handle specialized billing statements for carriers as well as payroll calculations.
  
Job Duties: 

• Resolve discrepancies with clients and field operations, ensuring customer needs are met during onboarding by aligning requirements with system capabilities.
• Accurately bill customers per their specifications and provide monthly statements to contract carriers.
• Validate piece rates from various data sources and calculate driver payroll, managing complex pay structures.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts. Collect and assess manufacturing costs, conducting cost analysis against standards.
• Support audits, prepare sales tax returns, and assist staff accountant and accounts payable as needed.
• Manage month-end processes and collaborate with leadership to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis
• Exceptional computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel with working knowledge of Word
