We are seeking a Fire Designer to join our team in creating essential fire suppression systems for a wide range of projects. Position Overview:
You will be part of an innovative and collaborative team responsible for creating submittal and field installation drawings, hydraulic calculations, and other essential design documentation for fire protection systems. Our designs align with NFPA code standards, the International Building Code, and local fire marshal requirements. Your training will include a blend of classroom instruction, fieldwork, and self-directed learning.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design fire suppression systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and foam sprinkler systems.
• Develop shop drawings for field installation, perform hydraulic calculations, and compile material stock lists.
• Coordinate with other MEP contractors to integrate fire protection systems within the building structure.
• Conduct site visits to review actual field conditions and troubleshoot installation challenges.
• Oversee project scheduling, track quantities, and support contract administration.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Engineering, Construction, CAD, or related field, or 2+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to read construction, engineering, architectural, and structural plans.
• Strong attention to detail, a passion for safety, and a commitment to teamwork.
