Job Summary:
Responsible for verifying and preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring all materials are ready for delivery in accordance with the specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Confirm shipment details by weighing, measuring, or counting items to match records
• Determine the most efficient shipping method
• Label shipments with shipping information
• Assemble or select appropriate containers for products
• Prepare wooden crates and bind containers securely
• Attach shipping labels, postage, and required documentation
• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Manage shipping materials and supplies inventory
• Operate forklifts or hand trucks to transport shipments as needed
• Analyze shipping notices and invoices to prioritize work and meet schedules
• Perform quality checks on packaged goods
• Handle clerical tasks like data entry and maintaining filing systems
• Deliver incoming materials to the correct departments
• Support and maintain 5S standards

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; some experience in a related field preferred
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Strong math skills, including the ability to work with fractions, decimals, and percentages
• Problem-solving ability to address common shipping-related challenges

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly stand, walk, and lift items up to 50 pounds (with assistance when needed)
• Occasional sitting, kneeling, or bending
• Specific vision abilities required for inspection tasks

Work Environment:
Exposure to various environmental conditions such as weather, temperature changes, and mechanical equipment. Moderate noise level in the workspace.
