Overview of the Underwriting Associate

Cornerstone Staffing is partnered with a financial stable & growing insurance company who is adding to their Underwriting Department.  The Underwriting Associate will evaluate risk for Workers' Compensation, Business owners', Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies for small businesses.

*** Must live in Omaha, or surrounding suburbs ***

Responsibilities of the Underwriting Associate

Utilize company criteria and protocols to evaluate risk among many lines of business

• Perform independent verification of insured's operations
• Review and process change requests
• Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives and processes
• Participate in projects as assigned

Qualifications for the Underwriting Associate

• Computer savvy and investigation/research abilities
• Bachelor's degree required
• Analytical abilities
• Attention to detail
• Research skills
• Time-management

Schedule of the Underwriting Associate

• M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Some flexibility on start/end time, at manager's discretion
• Hybrid schedule includes working 3 days at home, and 2 onsite
• Convenient downtown parking! 

Compensation of the Underwriting Associate

• Starts at $42,600, possibility higher pay based on experience, education, and other factors.
