LEAD INFORMATION
•Job Title: Structural Engineer – 2-5 years post-graduate experience
•Site Location: Glasgow (hybrid working available)
•Responsible To: Senior Management Team
•Purpose of the Role: To join the dynamic and growing team working on exciting and innovative projects across various sectors such as healthcare, residential, commercial, and more. The role provides a pathway for career progression with hands-on design training, experience on large complex projects, and opportunities for chartership.
KEY INFORMATION
•Reason for Vacancy: Growth within the team and the need to expand capacity to handle exciting new projects.
•Contract: Permanent
•Salary: £30k-45k per annum, depending on skills and experience
•Shifts: Standard working hours with flexible hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)
•Holidays: 26 days annual leave, rising to 31 days with loyalty days, plus bank holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Role:
• Assist in producing structural calculations and specifications
• Provide technical reviews of drawings and junior team members’ designs
• Prepare tender and contract documents
• Attend coordination, design team, and site meetings
• Conduct finite element analysis as part of design processes
• Collaborate on delivering innovative and sustainable designs for various sectors, including healthcare, residential, commercial, and retail
• Play an active role in the design and delivery of large complex projects
• Support business development and marketing activities, providing client-facing opportunities
Key Skills Required:
•Relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
•Experience in producing structural calculations and specifications
•Familiarity with technical reviews of designs and drawings
•Proficiency in preparing tender and contract documents
•Ability to attend meetings and coordinate designs with teams
•Experience or knowledge in Finite Element Analysis
•Strong commitment to sustainable design practices
•Interest in pursuing chartership with support from the company
