We are looking for someone with a passion for process improvement and a good accounting foundation who is seeking a client-facing role with opportunities to work with our local and international clients.
Working directly with founders, board members, CFO’s and global finance professionals, engagements will be a combination of recurring and project-based including:
- Monthly management reporting and CFO advisory.
- Advisory, support, and transformation of finance functions.
- Implementation and management of finance function and system changes.
- Strategic accounting services, encompassing audit readiness, financial, corporate, and sustainability reporting.
- Assisting clients in preparing their business for sale.
- Managing integrations post transaction.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be involved in:
- Client-facing role as the day-to-day contact point for the client
- Preparation of the month-end close process
- Preparation of the monthly/quarterly management accounts including reporting pack
- Cash flow management and processing of supplier payment runs
- Preparation of variance report and monthly executive summary
- Assistance with Advisory projects
- Responsibility for accounts payable, bank reconciliations and other processing prepared by junior team members
- Preparation of payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations
- Review and lodgement of monthly/quarterly business and instalment activity statements
- Utilising cloud technology to drive process improvements both internally and externally
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff
- Communicate with clients and colleagues
- Progress towards providing advisory services to key business stakeholders
About you: With an agile and collaborative approach, the self-motivated professional team member that we are looking for will be:
- Completed bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- Have completed or completing CA, CPA or Equivalent Qualified with professional services accounting and advisory experience ideally from a local top or mid-tier firm.
- Technical accounting experience with knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/AASB)
- Experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Excellent relationship management, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Xero, Netsuite or other cloud accounting software would be beneficial
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Sound Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Willingness to learn
