About the job:
As part of the Business Advisory team, you will provide outstanding services to local and international clients across a diverse range of industries. You will be a crucial contributor to our fast-growing business and will help to build our future as well as your career.
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summary for corporate and family groups, including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships, Individuals & SMSFs
- Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns, activity statements
- Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other senior business services accountants
- Delegating and reviewing junior work
- Use of MYOB suite, Xero, Class Super
- Liaising with clients and other external service providers
- Develop your knowledge with U Learn, the Forvis Mazars individualised learning platform
About you:
- Ideally, have a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in Business Services/ Advisory Accounting with an Australian accounting firm
- Experience in working with mid to large-size clients essential
- Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns, activity statements
- Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other business services accountants
- Delegating and reviewing junior work
- Liaising with clients and other external service providers
- Completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) and Chartered Accountants Program (or CPA or ACCA)
- Good working experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, MYOB and Xero
- Working knowledge of Class Super is highly regarded
- Ability to lead the team and work with others
- Confidence in dealing with clients and technical issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Willingness to learn
