About the role: The objective of the role is to deliver high-quality assistance to the Corporate Affairs Manager and clients to ensure they are meeting their ASIC obligations and requirements. We are looking for driven individuals who show initiative and take an organised and methodological approach to work. A can-do attitude, willingness to learn and a keen interest in Corporate Secretarial matters are key to success in this role.
- Assisting with the firm corporate affairs, including company incorporations and trust establishments.
- Preparation of client documents, letters & responding to requests.
- Assisting with corporate secretarial duties with ASIC, annual reviews, ASIC forms, lodgements etc.
- Maintenance of ASIC debtors.
- Communication with the ASIC in relation to basic client matters.
- Coordination of the out-for-signature and lodgement process.
- Maintenance of paper & electronic corporate & trust filing systems.
- Provision of support to reception by answering incoming phone calls, taking messages, answering queries, welcoming guests and maintaining meeting rooms. Maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanour when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Any other general administrative duties necessary for the smooth operation of the firm.
About you: - Administrative experience within a professional services firm (preferably in the public practice environment) is essential.
- Preferable ASIC experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to time manage and prioritise tasks.
- Multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- The successful candidate will require the ability to exercise initiative, discretion and judgement in the performance of duties.
