About the role:
Reporting to the lead Partner of our Financial Advisory Team, your role will include:
- Execution and management of client deliverables across transaction services - buy-side and sell-side due diligence assignments including data analysis, data book construction and review, and compilation of detailed report of findings. This will extend to the performance of detailed quantitative financial analysis, quality of earnings analysis, detailed assessment of key business risks and historical trends, and the preparation and analysis of forecast cash flow and other financial data.
- Assisting with and managing the drafting of accounting-related clauses in SPAs, including EBIT normalisation and working capital calculations and debt like items, to deliver improved client transaction outcomes.
- Assisting with Deal Lead Advisory services (buy side and sell side) and actively managing the execution and delivery of the mandates
- Assisting and managing the team with the execution and delivery of various financial models to support a range of client deliverables - these include - debt advisory mandates, buy-side and sell-side mandates, vendor readiness, profit improvement models, and a range of other modelling requirements
- Managing our team and coordination with other experts engaged in the projects.
- Actively supporting and pursuing business development activities with the goal of growing the financial advisory services portfolio to support delivering the teams budget expectations.
- Providing management assistance to the Financial Advisory Lead Partner and training and mentoring junior staff.
About you:
- 5 years of experience, preferably with mid-tier or large professional services firms or Corporate Advisory firms .
- Extensive experience managing, executing and delivering financial due diligence assignments for both privately owned businesses and corporate clients..
- Strong AASB competency and detailed understanding of deal mechanics across various industries and sectors. Including working capital analysis, identifying debt like items, etc.
- 2-3+ years' experience in Lead Advisory sell side and buy-side execution support
- Team player, federating, motivating and inspiring, and capable in training junior staff with an eye to drive process improvement and an eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and drive commercial outcomes for clients.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
