Our Outsourcing division acts as an outsourced finance function, enabling clients to focus on growing their companies with the peace of mind that they will have accurate and timely information to make key business decisions.

Forvis Mazars offers an end-to-end service to manage clients' business finances, supporting their business in becoming as efficient as possible.

The rapid growth in this service offering presents a unique opportunity, for an enthusiastic individual who can manage efficiently, a portfolio of international clients. We are looking for someone, with good accounting skills as well as tax compliance experience, who is seeking a client-facing role with opportunities to work for our esteemed clients. This may suit someone with a business services background looking to move to a broader role.

Reporting to the Partner and manager/senior manager, you will be involved in:
  

• Take ownership of a client portfolio 
• Client-facing role as the day-to-day contact point for the client
• Preparation of the month-end close process
• Preparation of the monthly/quarterly management accounts including reporting pack
• Oversight of supplier payment runs
• Responsibility for accounts payable, bank reconciliations and other processing prepared by junior team members
• Review and lodgment of state payroll tax  returns
• Review and lodgment of monthly/quarterly business and instalment activity statements
• ASIC compliance mainly for proprietary companies
• Co-ordinate with the tax team for end of year filings 
• Co-ordinate with the audit team for preparation of financial statements
• Utilising cloud technology to drive process improvements both internally and externally
• Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff
• Attend BD calls along side the partner/s and assist with the preparation of fee proposals for prospective clients
• Communicate with clients and colleagues

  
About you:

With an agile and collaborative approach, the self-motivated professional team member that we are looking for will be:
 

• Completed bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• Have completed or completing CA, CPA or Equivalent Qualified with professional services accounting or business services experience ideally from a local top or mid-tier firm.
• Technical accounting experience with knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/AASB)
• Experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent relationship management, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Xero, Netsuite or other cloud accounting software would be beneficial
• Strong numerical and IT skills
• Sound Microsoft Excel skills
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn
