  About the job:   As part of the Tax Consulting team, in this role your focus will be on providing outstanding tax advisory services to our diverse client portfolio, including multinational groups, large private groups and dynamic start-ups.. Additionally, you will assist with complex compliance obligations for our growing portfolio of international corporate clients. You will be a key contributor to our fast-growing business and will help to build our future as well as your own career.   Duties include but are not limited to:  

• Undertaking tax research, analysing and interpreting tax legislation
• Drafting advice for clients in relation to various Australian and cross-border taxation issues 
• Assistance in relation to structuring of businesses and investments
• Liaising and negotiating with the ATO on behalf of clients
• Providing high level of tax advice in all areas of taxation
• Provide services to local and international clients
• Work across a diverse range of industries
• Working on tax due diligence assignments
• Taking a leading role in managing taxation compliance for complex clients
• Report to the Tax partners

  About you  

• Ideally have 5 or more years experience in a Corporate Tax team within an Australian accounting firm. Candidates with either generalist corporate tax experience or experience in a specialist role (e.g. transfer pricing) are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in income tax advice relating to corporate tax, CGT, companies, M&A tax and international tax
• Have or completing a Masters of Tax or similar ideal
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
• Willingness to learn
