About the role:
Working amidst the team and directly with global finance professionals, the role has a broad remit including, but not limited to
- Client-facing, as the day-to-day contact point for the client
- Preparation of the month-end close process
- Preparation of the monthly/quarterly management accounts including reporting pack
- Oversight of accounts payable and processing of supplier payment runs.
- Preparation of payroll tax lodgements and reconciliations
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly/quarterly business and instalment activity statements
- Utilising cloud technology to drive process improvements both internally and externally.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff.
- Client onboarding, new client registrations with the ATO and ASIC, from time to time
About you:
With an agile and collaborative approach, the self-motivated professional team member that we are looking for, will be:
- Completed bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- Have completed or completing CA, CPA or Equivalent Qualified with professional services in accounting and tax / outsourcing ideally from a local top or mid-tier firm.
- Experience in management accounting, knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/AASB)
- Experience with Xero, Netsuite or other cloud accounting software would be beneficial.
- Knowledge & experience with tax compliance requirements for GST, WHT and ongoing tax office lodgements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organisation & time management skills
- Excellent relationship management, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn.
