Role Description - Sales Development Rep!
The SDR is responsible for the initial steps of the sales cycle; it's a fast-paced and people-first role!
Responsibilities include:
- Qualifying Leads: Ensure leads are a good fit for the company’s products or services through careful qualification.
- Providing Sales Support: Ensure all processes are up-to-date and completed to keep the deal flow moving forward.
- Understanding Customer Needs: Conduct thorough discovery to comprehend potential customers' situations, challenges, and requirements.
- Engaging Potential Customers: Initiate conversations with potential customers sourced from marketing-generated leads.
- Booking Initial Meetings: Schedule appointments for phone discussions, online, or face-to-face meetings.
- Maintaining Customer Relationships: Foster and sustain ongoing relationships to keep potential customers engaged until they are ready for a sales discussion.
- Promoting Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to position yourself as a knowledgeable resource for customers.
- Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with marketing and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
It's a high-energy role, almost like your own 'mini-business,' so there's plenty of opportunity to be creative and disciplined at the same time!
No experience in sales?That's okay! We are looking for attitude and attributes more than anything else.
The career opportunities are massive! You'll 'learn and earn' at the same time! Many of our 'Apprentees' have been promoted after 18 months and are earning six-figure salaries!
Qualifications that are advantageous, but not essential: - At least 1-2 years of customer-facing experience.
