We’re looking for a Group Beverage Assistant to help elevate quality, consistency, training, and innovation across the group. About the Role
Working closely with our Group Beverage Manager and Venue Beverage Managers, you’ll play a hands-on role in driving beverage standards across the Applejack portfolio — from cocktail execution and menu development to training, audits, and stock systems.
You’ll be visible on the floor, active behind the bar, and influential in shaping how we do drinks at scale.
Full Time Position: Tuesday to Saturday.
circa $85,000 to $90,000 + Super
A few key areas of focus;
- Beverage Quality & Standards; Lead the charge on drink quality, consistency, and presentation across all venues. Supporting testing, refinement, and rollout of new menus
- Menu Development & Coordination; Collaborate with Beverage Managers on menu development and seasonal rotations. Coordinate menu changes with the Marketing team to ensure accurate and timely launches. Stay at the forefront of modern techniques, trends, and industry innovation
- Training & Capability Building; develop and maintain a clear, structured training calendar with confidence to lead regular in-venue beverage training sessions, while playing a crucial part in skill development across bartenders, supervisors, and emerging leaders
- Audits & Reporting; Conduct regular bar and beverage audits across venues. Deliver clear quarterly reporting on compliance, quality, and improvement opportunities.
- Systems & Stock Management; Maintain accuracy and compliance within 'drinking the profits', including transfers of stock and supporting venues with inventory best practice
- Industry Engagement;Keep up-to-date with industry standards, trends, and external competitions while representing Applejack’s in the wider beverage community
About You - Strong beverage background across cocktails, spirits, wine, & premium drinks
- Experience working across multiple venues or supporting large teams
- Confident trainer with the ability to engage and uplift teams
- Organised, detail-driven, and comfortable working with systems and reporting
- Curious, creative, and genuinely passionate about drinks and hospitality
- Ambitious and ready to grow into a senior beverage leadership role
